- Day 1:
Windhoek to Spitzkoppe
Your adventure begins with an early morning departure from Windhoek, heading toward the striking Spitzkoppe, known as the "Matterhorn of Namibia." The drive takes about 4-5 hours, offering stunning views of Namibia's vast desert landscapes, dry riverbeds, and rugged hills. Upon arrival at Spitzkoppe, you'll check in to your accommodation, nestled at the base of the iconic granite peaks. After lunch, spend the afternoon exploring the area, marveling at the rock formations that make this spot so famous. Hike through the region to see the incredible granite spires, a. As the sun begins to set, enjoy the breathtaking views of the desert landscape before heading back to your accommodation for a restful night
Day 2:
Spitzkoppe to Brandberg – White Lady
After breakfast, embark on a scenic drive to Brandberg, Namibia’s highest mountain, home to some of the country’s most fascinating rock art. Upon arrival, check into your lodge before preparing for the hike to see the famous White Lady rock painting. This iconic artwork, which is thought to depict a spiritual figure rather than a lady, is one of Namibia’s most celebrated rock art sites. The hike to the painting takes about 1.5 to 2 hours, and along the way, your guide will point out other interesting rock art. Afterward, in the afternoon, experience elephant tracking in the rugged terrain of the Brandberg region. With the help of an experienced guide, you’ll track the elusive desert-adapted elephants, learning about their survival strategies in the harsh environment. After a full day of exploration, return to your accommodation for a peaceful evening.
Day 3:
Brandberg (White Lady) to Twyfelfontein - Windhoek
In the morning, leave Brandberg and head towards Twyfelfontein, a UNESCO World Heritage Site famous for its extensive collection of rock engravings. Upon arrival at Twyfelfontein, embark on a guided tour of the rock engravings, which are among the largest and most significant petroglyph collections in Africa. The engravings, created by the San people thousands of years ago, depict a variety of animals, such as elephants, rhinos, and giraffes, as well as spiritual symbols. The tour will offer valuable insight into the cultural and historical significance of these ancient artworks. After the visit to Twyfelfontein, head back to Windhoek. starting the 5-6 hour drive back to Windhoek. The return journey gives you one last chance to enjoy the desert scenery before arriving in Windhoek in the late afternoon or early evening
