Day 1: Windhoek → Sossusvlei

Depart from Windhoek at 09:30 AM for a scenic journey into the iconic Namib Desert. Enjoy the transition from city life to vast, open desert landscapes.

Upon arrival, check in at Gondwana Namib Desert Lodge, your base for the next two nights. Spend the afternoon at leisure before joining an optional sunset drive, where the desert glows in golden hues. End the day with a buffet dinner under the stars.

Day 2: Sossusvlei, Big Daddy & Deadvlei Exploration
Distance: 137 km | Travel Time: ±2 hr 11 min

An early start takes you deep into Sossusvlei with a packed breakfast. Explore some of the world’s tallest dunes, including the famous Dune 45 or the towering Big Daddy.
Continue to the surreal Deadvlei, where ancient trees stand frozen in time against striking desert backdrops. Later, visit Sesriem Canyon before returning to the lodge to relax and enjoy dinner.

Day 3: Namib Desert → Swakopmund
Distance: 352 km | Travel Time: ±5–5:30hr

After breakfast, travel to Swakopmund, where the desert meets the Atlantic Ocean.
Upon arrival, check in at the unique The Stiltz, known for its charming wooden bungalows set on stilts overlooking the surrounding landscape.
Spend your afternoon exploring the town’s German colonial charm, including the Swakopmund Museum and the iconic Swakopmund Jetty.
For adventure seekers, an optional 4x4 excursion to Sandwich Harbour offers a dramatic meeting point of dunes and ocean.
In the evening, enjoy fresh seafood at one of Swakopmund’s popular restaurants while taking in the cool coastal atmosphere.

Day 4: Swakopmund → Damaraland (Spitzkoppe) → Windhoek

After breakfast, begin your journey inland with a stop at Spitzkoppe, often called the “Matterhorn of Namibia.”
Explore its dramatic granite peaks, ancient rock art, and natural arches. After soaking in the serene desert scenery, continue your drive back to Windhoek, arriving in the late afternoon.
